How to Change the Battery in a Volkswagen Touareg

In this video, you will see how to change the starter battery in a Volkswagen Touareg MK2. In this vehicle, the battery is located under the driver's seat, and you will need to tilt the seat. To do this, use a 10mm ratchet and remove all the bolts on the rail that the driver's seat slides on. Once everything is unlocked, tilt the seat back to access the battery compartment by removing the carpet. Be careful not to disconnect the yellow connector, which controls the airbag. You will also find the air filter here, and the battery is situated directly underneath. There are securing bolts to remove that hold a mounting bracket in place. Disconnect the negative terminal first, then the positive, and finally remove the battery from its housing.
