Removing and Replacing the Rear Bumper

Model: Volkswagen Jetta MK 6, A6 - Years 2010-2018

First, unscrew the three screws (three for each side) that secure the bumper inside the wheel arches using the appropriate tool. Next, unscrew the seven screws that secure the bumper from underneath. After moving the protection inside the wheel arches, unscrew the other two screws that secure the bumper at the top. Now, open the boot lid and unscrew the rear light fittings by hand, disconnect the electrical power cables, and remove them. After unscrewing the two screws that secure the bumper in the light housing, remove the bumper by unclipping it from the clips that hold it on the sides and sliding it outwards. For fitting the new bumper, perform the same operations in reverse order. The maintenance operation shown in the images is carried out on a Volkswagen Jetta.
