How to Reset the Trip Meter of the Volkswagen Golf?

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 6, Golf VI, Golf 6, 5K1 - Years 2008-2012

To reset the trip meter of the Volkswagen Golf, turn on the instrument cluster by inserting the ignition key into the corresponding ignition switch. Once the cluster is powered on, navigate through the menu that appears on the instrument cluster until you find the trip meter option: when displayed, press and hold the 0.0/SET button located on the right side of the cluster. This will completely reset the trip meter, and you can then turn off the cluster.
