To reset the trip meter of the Volkswagen Golf, turn on the instrument cluster by inserting the ignition key into the corresponding slot: once the cluster is powered on, locate the 0.0 button on the right side of the cluster. At this point, press and hold this button for a few seconds until the trip meter resets completely; after the operation, turn off the cluster by turning the key back.
