Keeping the engine air filter clean and efficient is certainly important to ensure optimal engine performance and to avoid altering fuel consumption. During each service, check the condition of the filter and consider replacing it. On this model, the air filter housing is integrated beneath the plastic cover located directly above the engine. Once you have detached the cover and the vacuum hose, turn it over on a workbench and unscrew the fastening screws of the filter housing cover to extract the old filter and insert the new one, applying the new gasket along the designated groove.
