Operation: How do you replace the door lock of the Volkswagen New Beetle?

In order to remove the door lock of the Volkswagen New Beetle, you need to loosen the screws that secure the inner panel of the door, completely detaching it from its seat: the screws are located under the handrail molding and at the bottom of the panel. Once the panel is detached, you can disconnect the connectors at the bottom, so that the actuator is completely removed from its seat; after removal, you can insert the new actuator, then cover everything with the corresponding panel and check that everything works.
