Front Door Lock Disassembly and Repair

Model: Volkswagen New Beetle MK 2, 9C - Years 1999-2012
Part: Door lock

Remove the three fixing screws located along the bottom edge of the panel; unclip the cover of the internal handle and unscrew the underlying screws; then unclip the pressure clips along the edges of the panel and pull it upwards to detach it from the window scraper seal; disconnect the various connectors. Remove the rubber plugs on the aluminium panel to access the fixing pins of the support clips for the glass, securing the latter to the door pillar with adhesive tape. Complete the disassembly of the aluminium panel with the window lifter. Then unscrew the fixing pins of the lock located on the side edge of the door to remove it along with the opening cable and lock. Remove the white plastic cover of the lock to access the electronic board and redo the soldering. Proceed in reverse for reassembly.
