How to Replace the Steering Wheel on a Volkswagen Touran

Model: Volkswagen Touran MK 1, 1T - Years 2003-2015

First, release and lift the bonnet to disconnect the battery cables to avoid any issues with the airbag deployment. By turning the steering wheel, you will notice holes on its rear where clips secure the front part of the wheel. By turning the wheel first to one side and then the other, you can unlock these clips. Doing so will allow you to pull the central part of the wheel towards you and disconnect the connectors at the back. Now, simply unscrew the large central bolt to remove the rest of the steering wheel.
