In this tutorial, we can see where the coolant temperature sensor is located in the Volkswagen Golf and how to proceed if we need to replace it. As shown, the sensor is positioned in the manifold connected to the radiator, placed between the engine and the radiator itself.

To remove it, simply unclip the lower fixing clip, disconnect the connector, and extract it from its housing.

To install the replacement, just follow the reverse procedure. Ensure you operate with the engine completely cold to avoid burns.
