If in the rotation of the steering wheel there is a play and also a noise that is accentuated while driving on the disconnect, then it means that the spherical hinge of the tie rod head (or axial joint) of the steering box has taken off; to be able to replace it comfortably, lift the car and remove the front wheel and, even before unscrewing the nut fixing the head to the hub support, loosen the lock nut on the tie rod, immediately behind the head, with a 24 mm wrench; then proceed with the disassembly of the nut and then extract the head with the special fork tool; then loosen the old head by counting the number of turns and then screw the new one by the same number, fix it to the hub support and tighten the lock nut; it is advisable to also replace the other head and perform a trim check on the convergence bench.
