Volkswagen Golf - Video tutorial
Model: Volkswagen Golf
MK 8, Golf 8, Golf Viii
- Years 2019-2024 In this video we can see how to activate "Launch Control" on a Volkswagen Golf VIII GTI. This feature helps maintain the engine speed at a certain preset number, allowing the car to increase power before the computer or operator disengages the clutch: we need to access the infotainment system and select "vehicle", scroll to "brakes" where we can select the desired traction control level and select "ESC off". An additional confirmation will be required; now we select the sport mode from the drive mode button and switch to sport mode "S1" on the gearbox. We hold down the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal, and the dashboard will display the active launch control screen. We wait for the engine to build up power and release the brake pedal.
