In this video, to replace the fuel pump on the Volkswagen Golf, remove the rear passenger seat; lift the carpet covering to access a circular panel secured by three screws, which, when removed, will reveal the pump. Disconnect the electrical connector and pull off the two fuel hoses, using a cloth to catch any fuel spills.

Using a chisel, unscrew the ring that secures the pump and remove it, placing it in a bowl. Insert the new pump in its place, secure it with the ring, restore the connections, and replace the circular panel and the seat.
