To replace the water pump on a Volkswagen Tiguan, open the bonnet to access the components in the engine bay. On the left side of the engine block, locate the water pump pulley, which needs to be removed by loosening the central nut that secures it. This will allow you to access the water pump underneath, which can be removed from its housing by unscrewing the bolts that secure it, thus replacing it with a new spare part.

After replacement, refit all removed parts and ensure everything functions correctly.
