How to replace the cabin filter of a Volvo S40? Start by removing it. The cabin filter is located at the bottom right of the glove compartment. Use a plastic lever to detach the fabric cover located at the bottom right of the dashboard; get a screwdriver and remove the cap from the filter housing, then extract the worn cabin filter.

Insert a new cabin filter, ensuring it fits snugly around the walls of the housing. Refit the cap of the filter housing and tighten the screws with the fabric cover.

Check the correct installation of the previously mounted parts.
