Check engine oil level and top up

Model: Volvo S40 MK 1 - Years 1995-2004
Part: Engine oil

Open the front hood and make sure it is supported safely. Remove the engine oil level control stick, clean the tip and insert it again to check the level in order to also evaluate any oil consumption: on the tip of the stick there are two notches that indicate the minimum and maximum level. Between the minimum and maximum level, the level variation is equal to one liter of oil: therefore, if the level is at minimum, top up the engine oil through the appropriate cap, pouring a liter of oil according to specifications SAE indicated in the use and maintenance manual. Check the level again after topping up.

How to deactivate the safe lock on a Volkswagen Golf.

The safe lock is indeed an anti-theft system that prevents thieves from accessing the car. This device locks the doors, both externally and internally, when the driver activates the central locking remote control after leaving the vehicle. To permanently disable it, it is necessary to use a diagnostic program such as VCDS that we will connect to the vehicle through the ODBII port. Then wait for the connection and recognition of the control unit and then select the blocks present and locate the safe lock to disable it. And the job will be completed.
