Instructions for Disassembling Brake Caliper

For vehicles that travel on snow-covered roads treated with salt during winter, the oxidation of brake discs and calipers is an inevitable phenomenon. Therefore, when replacing the brake pads, it is essential to clean and lubricate everything. Lift the vehicle on suitable car stands, remove the front wheel, and use a mole grip to retract the piston enough to facilitate disassembly. Then, unscrew the caliper mounting bolts and remove it from its seat, take out the old pads, and also detach the caliper support. Carefully brush the support and apply the new sliding plates, insert the new pads, and brush and lubricate the caliper sliding pins before reassembling everything.
