Why does the brake drum sometimes stick?
Model: Volvo S70
MK 1
- Years 1996-2000 In this new experience we are going to explain why the brake drum sticks. But before starting let's explain how the drum brake works. The brake has a function, which in order to stop the wheel, i.e. the vehicle, needs the two springs in the center of the brake to pull an iron plate near the drum and creating friction, the wheel stops. So after having made this explanation we can understand that if the springs that bring the iron plates back have worn out then the system no longer works as it should. In conclusion, we can say that the malfunction is caused by the pump which does not make the two springs go back or by the springs themselves.

How do you reset the tire pressure light on the Toyota Aygo X?![]() To reset the tire pressure warning light on the Toyota Aygo X, you need to inflate the tires until they reach the recommended pressure value: this will be indicated on the sticker attached to the driver's side door pillar. Once the tires are inflated, you can go inside the cabin and turn on the instrument panel: after it has been turned on, you can open the glove box on the passenger side and locate the SET button that must be held down to turn off the warning light. by ScegliAuto More videos
