Resetting the service light in the Volvo V40, as shown in this tutorial, is an extremely simple and quick operation. Before proceeding, ensure all scheduled maintenance tasks are completed.

Start by going inside the cabin, then insert the key but leave it in the first position. Next, press the button located in the centre of the dashboard, turn on the instrument cluster, and keep the button pressed until the "SERVICE" message starts flashing.

To complete the reset, simply restart the vehicle.
