How to Remove the Steering Wheel on an Alfa Romeo 147

How do you remove the steering wheel from an Alfa Romeo 147? Before removing the steering wheel, disconnect the battery terminals located in the engine bay. Follow these steps to proceed with the removal: using a socket wrench (screwdriver), unscrew the fastening screws located at the back of the steering wheel cover (where the airbag is located). Once the airbag is detached (driver's side), disconnect the power connectors and remove it from the steering wheel. Unscrew the steering wheel securing bolt and remove the steering wheel from the column. For reassembling the airbag: connect the power connectors, then press the airbag back onto the steering wheel with your hands while simultaneously screwing in the rear bolts.
