Guide to Removing the EGR Valve

Model: Alfa Romeo 147 MK 1 - Years 2000-2010
Part: EGR valve

You will need a 13mm spanner, an 8mm spanner, and a 13mm angled spanner.
Remove the cover from the engine block and take off the support shown in the video. Next, using the 13mm spanner, proceed to remove the valve, which has two screws to undo with the standard spanner and two to unscrew with the angled spanner. Be careful not to lose the metal gasket present. Finally, unscrew the other two screws located on the top of the valve, again being careful not to lose the gasket.
Following the video step by step, the operation takes less than 10 minutes, allowing you to clean or replace the EGR valve.

The procedure is the same for the Alfa Romeo 147, Alfa GT, and Fiat Stilo 1.9 JTD 16V.
