Functions of the Aston Martin Keys and Other Useful Information

In this video, we see how to use the Aston Martin remote controls; the main key is identified by the white wings, while the spare key has no specific markings, but both function the same way. The vehicle allows you to enter while the key is in your pocket or bag. Simply press the front part of the handle to unlock the door, and do the same to lock it. You can fully open the vehicle by holding down the unlock button, which will open all windows and unlock the sunroof. You can close the vehicle in the same way. To preserve the key battery, double-click the lock button to disable the key, and to reactivate it, just press any button when near the vehicle. To change the battery, simply remove the back of the remote. The set also includes an emergency key, which is used to open the vehicle if you cannot access it with the remote keys. It is recommended not to leave it in the car; it may be needed if the vehicle battery is flat, and to use it, you will need to use the lock cylinder hidden behind the driver's door handle. To start the vehicle with a flat remote battery, remove the front part of the remote, which allows you to insert it like a key into the slot located between the cup holders in the centre console. If it is necessary to change the vehicle battery, please note that it is located under the passenger seat; if you need to connect it to a booster, the connection points are under the bonnet. To open the bonnet, on the DB11 and DBS, the release cables are located in both the driver's and passenger's footwells.
