How do you replace the engine oil filter in an Audi A4? Let's see in this guide how to proceed with the replacement. Lift the car with a column lift and remove the drain plug from the oil pan, allowing the oil to drain into a container (tighten the plug after draining). Lower the car back to the ground, then open the car door and pull up the engine hood release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard and lift the front hood, securing it. Using a socket wrench, remove the large tightening bolt of the container cap where the oil filter is located, extract the old filter and position a new one, ensuring it fits well against the walls of the housing. Finally, reinstall the oil filter cap, tighten the screws, and top off with new oil.
