How to Replace the Oil Filter on an Audi A4

Follow these steps to replace the oil filter on an Audi A4: Lift the car on a column lift and remove the oil pan bolt. Allow the oil to drain into a container (tighten the bolt after draining). Lower the car to the ground, then open the car door and pull up the engine hood release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, and lift the hood. Secure it in place. Using a socket wrench, remove the large bolt securing the container cap where the oil filter is located. Remove the old filter and install a new one, ensuring it fits snugly against the walls of the housing. Finally, reattach the oil filter cap, tighten the bolts, and refill with new oil.
