How to remove the steering wheel of an Audi A4?

To disassemble the steering wheel of an Audi A4, start by disconnecting the negative terminal of the battery to avoid the risk of accidental activation of the airbag. Wait at least 10-15 minutes to ensure that the system is completely discharged. Next, locate the screws behind the steering wheel: these secure the airbag to the center of the steering wheel. Use a suitable screwdriver to carefully unscrew them. Once the screws are removed, gently pull the airbag towards you. Disconnect the connectors of the airbag and the horn, being careful not to damage the wiring. Set the airbag aside in a safe place, preferably with the front facing upwards. With the airbag removed, locate the central nut that secures the steering wheel to the steering column. Using a socket wrench, loosen and remove the nut, but before removing the steering wheel, mark the exact position with a marker or tape to facilitate reassembly. Finally, carefully pull the steering wheel towards you to remove it from the steering column.
