To replace the rear headlight bulb on a BMW 3 Series, follow these steps. Start by opening the trunk of the car. Locate the bulb compartment behind the rear headlight, usually accessible from inside the trunk by removing the side cover.

Rotate the socket in the direction indicated to unlock it and remove it from the headlight. Once the socket is extracted, you can remove the old bulb and replace it with a new one, ensuring it is the same size and type.

Make sure the bulb is properly seated in the socket. Reinsert the socket into its housing in the headlight and rotate it in the opposite direction to lock it in place.

Ensure it is securely fastened and that there are no loose parts. Close the trunk and check that the new bulb works correctly by turning on the rear lights of the car.
