How do you reset the transmission of the BMW X5 e53?

The automatic transmission of the car mentioned above could suddenly, due to a momentary error in the electronic control unit, malfunction, preventing the use of the vehicle. In these cases, you can try a DIY reset, identical to the one shown in the video here: press the accelerator pedal and simultaneously press the car's start button, wait 30 seconds, and release the pedal. After this, wait two minutes and start the engine, then try to engage the gear and move the car. Procedure completed.
