How to release the electronic handbrake in a BMW?

In this tutorial we can see how to release the electronic handbrake in a BMW, an extremely simple operation valid for all models equipped with automatic transmission. First of all, let's go inside the car, then insert the key and start the engine. Then press the brake pedal, locate the handbrake switch and press it. The turning off of the orange LED will indicate that the handbrake has been correctly released. In situations where it activates automatically, such as uphill or downhill, simply move the gear lever to the "D" position.
