How do you reset the brake wear indicator light on the BMW 5 Series?

In order to reset the brake wear indicator light that appears on the instrument cluster of the BMW 5 Series, you need to turn on the instrument cluster by inserting the ignition key into the corresponding slot: once the cluster is turned on, you can press and hold the button on the left side of the instrument cluster to access the settings menu. Using the arrow button on the right side of the steering wheel, you need to find the option related to brake pad wear: by pressing and holding the button on the left side of the cluster again, you can make the indicator light disappear.
