BMW Serie 3 - Video tutorial

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006
Part: Accessory Kit
Operation: Rear camera installation on license plate lights

A camera installed on a support to replace that of the rear license plate lights can be purchased on the after market: it will be necessary to remove the rear hood cover panels. Then unscrew the 4 screws immediately under the toolbox; remove the two pressure clips along the edge of the hood (near the rubber stops); remove the protective cap of the fixing screw inside the grab handle for closing the hood and unscrew the screw itself; Then unhook and remove the rear part of the hood cover; unclip the bonnet interior light bulb holder and then the other cover. At this point, remove the license plate light support and replace it with the one equipped with a camera; connect the wires as shown in the attached diagram and pass the wiring so as to reach the fuse box inside the hood. Connect the camera power supply to the reverse light bulb so that the camera is activated when reverse gear is engaged. Finally, connect the jacks of the RCA inputs. Then reassemble the previously removed panels.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
