How to remove the airbag from the BMW 3 Series

Model: BMW Serie 3 E91, E90, E92 - Years 2005-2013
Part: Airbag

Today we will explain how to remove the airbag from the steering wheel of the 2007 BMW 3 Series model e89. To carry out this simple operation, we need to insert a flat-tipped screwdriver into the lower hole of the steering wheel, which we will push inward to release the latch that locks the central body. We then disconnect the central body from the connector to remove it completely, thus removing the airbag. Before proceeding with this operation, however, it is necessary to disconnect the vehicle's battery to prevent the system from activating during its removal.

Cut the marked portion of metal and apply a gasket to the edge. Remove the inner cover of the bumper and position it near the radiator to identify any interfering parts to eliminate: again, apply a gasket to the edge of the cut. Create brackets for securing the new radiator and proceed with the installation of the connecting pipes from the radiator to the intake, shaping and connecting them appropriately.
