How do you reset the Service light on a BMW Series 1?

It is possible to completely turn off the Service light that appears on the instrument panel of the BMW Series 1 by turning on the ignition and allowing all error messages to disappear. Once you reach the main screen, you need to press and hold the button at the bottom left of the instrument panel until the icon of a car on a lift appears. At this point, you should press the BC button located on the lever to the left of the steering wheel. An icon of a clock will appear, and once it disappears, it will indicate that the light has been reset correctly.
