How to reset the service light on the BMW X5

Let's see how to reset the service light on a BMW X5: turn on the ignition by pressing the start button three times in a row, then access the service menu using the button on the left side of the steering wheel, on the turn signal stalk: it is the "BC" button that must be held for 20 seconds until the maintenance menu appears on the display. Use the stalk to scroll through the list and select the item you want to reset, for example, "engine oil." Briefly press the "BC" button to enter the menu, and at this point, the display shows "reset possible." Hold the "BC" button until the message "reset in progress" appears. If a question mark appears, press the "BC" button again to confirm and wait for the message "reset successful." The service light will turn off, and the new mileage interval will be displayed.
