Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006

Lift the vehicle on appropriate jack stands or ramps (ensure the vehicle is level to completely drain the engine oil).
Place a suitable container under the oil pan, unscrew the drain plug (located on the side), and allow the used oil to drain completely before replacing the plug. Next, open the hood and ensure it is securely supported: the engine oil filter cartridge is located at the front, near the power steering fluid reservoir. Unscrew the cap of the oil filter container and replace the cartridge and the o-ring seal of the cap. Finally, fill the engine with new oil according to the SAE specifications and the quantities indicated in the owner's manual.
