Removing the Airbag from BMW 1 Series

In this video tutorial and the description below, you will find instructions for removing the airbag located on the steering wheel of the vehicle. First, access the cabin, grab a flat screwdriver, and start unscrewing the screws located just behind the steering wheel. This will free the central part of the steering wheel, but before completely removing it, insert the same screwdriver into the two existing holes on the right and left sides of the steering wheel to release the rear locking mechanism of the airbag from the inside. Once unlocked, you can remove the central steering wheel assembly with the airbag and disconnect the two connectors located at the back.
