How to remove the steering wheel airbag of the BMW 1 Series

The removal of the steering wheel airbag on a BMW 1 Series vehicle follows simple and quick steps that can be done independently. To perform this operation, we must disconnect the car's battery by opening the front hood and disconnecting the negative and positive poles. We get into the car and insert a flat-tipped screwdriver into the lower hole of the steering wheel. We move the screwdriver inside the slot to activate the internal lever that will remove the central body of the steering wheel containing the airbag. We disconnect the connector to remove the central body and deactivate the system.
