The steps to remove the airbag from a BMW 1 Series follow the same procedure for all BMW models. The steps are: - Disconnect the vehicle's battery to prevent the system from activating during removal; - Insert a flathead screwdriver into the holes on the steering wheel to push the internal lever of the mechanism; - Remove the central body and disconnect the airbag.

After completing these three steps, you will have fully removed the steering wheel airbag, and the reassembly follows the same three steps in reverse. Start the vehicle before driving to check that the airbag has been installed correctly.
