To replace the serpentine belt on a BMW 3 Series, open the hood to access the components in the engine bay. Specifically, you will need to remove parts located at the front of the engine block, such as the air filter box and the radiator. At this point, loosen the center bolts of the pulleys around which the serpentine belt is routed. After removing the belt, you can install a new one by reassembling all the components that were previously removed.
