How to Reset the Service Light on a BMW 1 Series?

Model: BMW Serie 1 E81, E82, MK 1, E87 - Years 2004-2013

To reset the Service light on a BMW 1 Series, insert the ignition key and press the appropriate button to start the car, so the instrument cluster lights up. Once the cluster is on, press and hold the button to the left of the instrument cluster until the icon of a car on a ramp appears. Navigate through the menu using the button on the lever to the left of the steering wheel until you find the oil icon. By holding the button at the end of the lever, you can reset the light and restore the maintenance interval.
