How to Reset the Engine Control Unit of the BMW 5 Series

In this guide, find the main instructions to reset the engine control unit of the BMW 5 Series. First, get in the vehicle and press and hold the accelerator pedal. Then, turn the ignition key to position one to power on the instrument cluster, as shown in the video. After about ten seconds, turn off the ignition and release the accelerator pedal. Wait two minutes before turning the ignition back on to complete the reset of the control unit!
