How to Reset the Service Light on a BMW 3 Series

If you have changed the engine oil and the corresponding filter on this model, you need to reset the service indicator that has illuminated on the dashboard. First, sit in the driver's seat and locate the button on the lower left of the dashboard. Press and hold this button until the "reset" indication appears on the display, then release the button and press it again until the service indicator starts to blink, and then it will reset.
