How to Reset the Service Light on the BMW 320d

Model: BMW Serie 3 E91, E90, E92 - Years 2005-2013

After performing the engine oil and filter replacement on this vehicle model, you need to reset the service light that is illuminated on the instrument cluster. Follow the complete procedure and the steps below. First, access the cabin. Use the START-STOP button to turn on the instrument cluster of the 3 Series. Turn on the instrument cluster. Use the button next to the instrument cluster (left). Press and hold the reset button. Wait several seconds until the maintenance message appears. To scroll through the maintenance menu, use the buttons on the left side of the steering wheel. After selecting the reset message, press and hold the end lever button (left of the steering wheel) until the reset is complete. Keep pressing the button until the procedure is finished.
