How to Remove and Reinstall the Inner Door Panel of the BMW X5 E53

This guide shows how to remove and reinstall the inner door panel of the BMW X5 E53. The first step is to remove the plastic trim panel using a trim removal tool. Using a Torx T20 wrench, remove the four mounting bolts located under the plastic just removed, under the cap on the edge of the panel, and at the bottom of the panel. Remove the power window switch and disconnect the connectors. Use the trim removal tool to pry at the edges of the panel to release the retaining clips. Disconnect the connector for the inner handle and the courtesy light. Reinstall the panel by reversing the procedure followed.
