If you need to reset the service light in a BMW 316d, F30-F31 series, this video, along with the voice commentary, can help. Essentially, this light, along with the warning message on the vehicle's instrument cluster, should be reset as follows: Using the knob located in the center of the console, select the Engine Maintenance option from the menu displayed on the dashboard monitor, then press the button at the base of the instrument cluster, specifically on the left, and hold it until the light disappears.

After turning the ignition off and back on, the operation is considered complete.
