How to Change the Battery of the BMW 1 Series Remote

This video shows you step by step how to replace the battery of a BMW 1 Series key. The procedure takes only a few seconds and you will need a small flathead screwdriver and a CR2450 battery. To replace the battery, first turn the key upside down, then press the button located at the bottom to remove the emergency key. Once the key is removed, use the flathead screwdriver to pry at the designated pressure point located at the insertion area of the emergency key, lift to remove the battery cover. Once removed, use the screwdriver to lever the battery out and extract it. After removing it, insert the new battery, then close the key by pressing it together with your hands and reinserting the emergency key into its housing.
