If one of the various devices in your BMW X5 suddenly stops working, first check the status of the respective fuses, the diagrams for which are shown in this video. As shown, the first fuse box is located inside the cabin, specifically behind the passenger glove compartment.

The second box is positioned on the right wall of the trunk, behind the indicated panel, while the third and final box is found in the engine compartment, protected by the plastic cover located in front of the windshield on the passenger side. Replace any blown fuses with replacements of the same specifications.
