BMW Serie 3 - Video tutorial
Model: BMW Serie 3
F30, F31
- Years 2012-2019 In this video we see how to measure the oil level on those BMW 3 series version F30/F31 that do not have the dipstick, but that carry out the measurement through the Idrive system: So we will have to use the button/wheel located right in the middle of the console, and we will scroll the menu to: "vehicle information". Then we select "vehicle status" and go to "oil level". We scroll down to "Engine oil level measurement". A warning tells us that this operation is possible only when the engine is at operating temperature, and the vehicle is parked on a level surface. The gear must be selected in "P" or "N", and the accelerator must not be pressed. We start the engine, and the check begins. Then it gives us a minimum and a maximum and confirms that the oil level is fine.
