How to Diagnose the Non-Functioning Adaptive Headlights on a BMW

In this video, we can see why the adaptive headlights on a BMW were not functioning: it was a very difficult diagnosis because the instrumentation did not reveal the cause of the malfunction. The movement of the headlights is regulated by transverse and longitudinal inclination sensors.

By checking each control unit one by one, the YouTuber discovered that the sensor is located inside the alarm siren, situated in the rear bumper of the vehicle. Upon disassembly, it was found that there were two 3-Volt batteries inside, one of which was shorted.

Replacing both batteries resolved the issue, and now the adaptive headlights are functioning again.
