Another reason could be a faulty oil pressure sensor; using the wrong oil that cannot maintain pressure can also cause this issue. A clogged filter can lead to the same problem, but the worst issue is wear on bearings or the crankshaft, which generates a loss of internal pressure: this serious failure requires thorough diagnosis by a specialized shop.
