To remove the airbag from the steering wheel of a Chevrolet Silverado, first disconnect the battery to prevent the airbag from deploying accidentally. Once the battery is disconnected, loosen the two bolts located on the sides of the steering wheel. After these two bolts are removed, you can pull the airbag out of its housing and disconnect the connectors located at the top. Once the part is removed, you can install a new one, which must be properly connected and secured with the bolts.
