Chevrolet Trax - Video tutorial

Model: Chevrolet Trax MK 1 - Years 2013-2022
Part: Checks and maintenance
Operation: How to service a Chevrolet Trax.

In this video tutorial we can see how it is possible to carry out the service on Chevrolet Trax: the first thing to do is to lift the bonnet and secure it with a special rod. Lift the vehicle with a hydraulic jack and place safety stands under the vehicle; now we need a Torx T45 jack wrench to unscrew the oil drain plug; place a container for the used oil under the oil pan; while waiting for all the oil to drain, we go to replace the air filter, then we have to remove the mass air flow sensor connector, unscrew the two screws to remove the airbox; at this point we are going to replace the old air filter with the new one. For the oil filter we need a 32 jack socket; the filter is located behind the engine, so we must unscrew with the socket and extension wrench, continue to unscrew with your hands and then remove it from its seat, next step we must replace the old oil filter with the new one, taking care to replace also the seals. We screw in the oil drain plug, lower the vehicle and top up the new oil with the help of a funnel.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
